Charlton Sanders qualified third. On the start of the race he jumped to second and was just riding until the leader’s tires started to fall off. He took the lead and started to drive away from the field until he almost spun saving the car and got passed. Determined not to give that win away he drove back to the leaders bumper. Green flag pit stops started with 30 to go, as the leader went to pit he stayed out 6 laps longer so he could have the fresh tires. With 10 to go he took the lead and never looked back for his third win this year.
